THE AUTHORS
Dr. Tey passed the examinations for the membership of the Royal College of Physicians ( UK ), Graduate Diploma in Geriatric Medicine ( Singapore ), and the United States Medical Licensing Examinations in 2006. He underwent his Advanced Specialist Training in Dermatology at the National Skin Centre ( Singapore ) and has been accredited a dermatologist in 2009.
Associate Professor Erle Lim obtained the Masters in Medicine (Internal Medicine) in 1997, and has been mentoring candidates through the MRCP, M Med (Int Med) and MBBS, ever since. He is currently a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (UK). He was accredited in Neurology in 2000, and now sits on the specialist training committe for Neurology in Singapore. He completed his fellowdhip in Movement disorders in New York, at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and is now tenured Associate Professor of Medicine at the National University of Singapore, where he also serves as Assistant Dean of Education (Clinical Admission and Student Affairs). He was awarded the faculty teaching excellence award in 2005/6 and 2006/7, the university’s annual teaching excellence award 2006/7 and the Outstanding Educator Award in 2008.
